Waterfront Myths & Realities
Myth: “All the waterfront land is gone.”
You might get this response when asking about waterfront property in Sussex County...but nothing is further from the truth!
The team at Blue Waterfront has recently surveyed the lands along the inland bays and rivers and ocean beaches in Sussex County. In addition, their findings show that many waterfront properties that have weathered improvements now, have enormous potential to become grand real estate once the 2nd generation improvements are made.
Many real estate agents even perpetuate the myth that all the waterfront property is gone because they only pursue property that is already listed for sale. Blue Waterfront is the only REALTOR® group that spends 100% of their time focusing on homes and land on the water. We do not limit our pursuit to listed properties. We have successfully found and brokered agreements for clients for properties that were never listed. Working with us will ensure that your perfect property will be discovered!
Anyone who has spent time on the shores of the ocean or the banks of an estuary or river knows that there is nothing more soothing than being on the water. Waterfront is grand. Like mother’s chicken soup, it is soothing and good for the soul. There is nothing that makes one feel more at peace than watching the sun rise or set above the water. The need to be near the water is an archetypal feeling in all of us that goes back to our primordial beginnings, when our distant ancestors crawled out of the water onto land.
Waterfront property is highly desirable whether it is ocean front, bay front, on the estuary, or on lakes or rivers.
Sussex County, located on the Eastern Shore of Delaware, is the State’s southernmost and only, seaside county. Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Bethany, Fenwick Island are some of the many beach communities that are on the ocean and the bays. There is a large network of State Park Facilities with sandy beaches and outdoor recreation. Opportunities for boating in the inland bays and deep-sea fishing are readily available. Some of Delaware's best recreational resources are on the Eastern Shore, including excellent bird watching, proximity to more than a dozen championship golf courses and numerous historic sites and museums.
Blessed with many natural and man-made attractions for tourists, (restaurants, shopping, boardwalks, and amusement parks) these coastal resort towns, on any summer weekend, can attract thousands of people, wanting to have some fun in the sun. What is their goal?
They want to be located as close as possible to the water.
The team at Blue Waterfront is committed to helping you find your waterfront dream. Learn more about us!
